Today's storm chance has been a tricky one to pin down. As we're right up to our expected timeframe of interest, uncertainty still exists. I'm watching two windows of opportunity now. Initially this afternoon and evening a few storms may bubble up south of I90, however this scenario is looking more and more unlikely. We'll favor a second window of opportunity after dark where a cluster of storms moves in.
A strong or severe storm will mainly bring us wind and hail potential. Also heavy rain could prove problematic in isolated areas that run through multiple storms.
Lingering rain should be out by daybreak on Tuesday, with a predominantly dry day setting up. It will also be hot and humid. Look for temps to rise into the upper 80s in what will be a humid afternoon. Thankfully there's a stout breeze to take the edge off.
Buy Tuesday night another cluster of storms arrives. Rain will linger throughout Wednesday too before fully wrapping up.
Temperatures are looking drastically cooler by the end of the week, struggling to make 60° in some damp days Friday and Saturday.
Tonight: Mostly cloudy. Showers and storms. Lows in the middle 60s. Wind: SE 5-10 mph.
Tuesday: Partly cloudy, sticky and windy. Chance for showers and thunderstorms towards sunset. Highs in the upper 80s. Wind: S 10-20 mph with gusts to 30.
Wednesday: Mostly cloudy. Chance for showers and thunderstorms. Highs in the middle 70s.
Thursday: Mostly sunny. Highs in the upper 60s.
Friday: Partly cloudy. Chance for rain. Highs in the upper 50s.
Saturday: Mostly cloudy. Chance for rain. Highs in the lower 60s.
Sunday: Partly cloudy. Highs in the lower 60s.
